FILM STUDIOS NOT

CLOSING

SYDNEY, Tuesday.-Officials of Cinesound Productions Limited ridiculed to-night suggestions that its studios would close because of the new British Film Quota Act, which excludes Australianmade films from qualifying for the film quota in Great Britain. They stated that the principal market for the films pro-duced in their studios was in Australia.

The filming was completed to-day of Cinesound's comedy, "Let George Do It," with George Wallace in the leading role.

Production Suspended

Owing to the action of the British Go-vernment in banning Australian films under the English quota, production on New Era Film Productions Ltd.'s second film, "Show Business," has been tem-porarily suspended pending action by the Commonwealth Government.
