OBITUARY

Mr. M. C. Brennan

Mr. Martin Charles Brennan, theatrical newspaper proprietor and publisher, of Randwick, who died on Saturday, aged 59

years, was founder and editor of the "Film Weekly," and represented several English theatrical publications. He was Australian representative of the American paper "Billboard," and was also editor of "Every-one's," and founded the Australian "Variety and Show World." He assisted visiting theatrical artists in their work in Aus-tralia, and was a ready helper of the less fortunate in the profession.

Mr. E. F. Darlot

Mr. Everard Firebrace Darlot, whose death occurred in Perth on Saturday, was one of the leading pastoralists in Western Australia. As a member of the firm of Darlot Bros., in which his brother, Mr. Leonard Darlot, and Mr. Norman D'Arcy are partners, he owned Byro Station, in the Murchison district, and Urella Station, at Mingenew. Originally the Darlot Bros. owned Warrawagine, Derringarra, and Billadalong stations. Mr. Everard Darlot and Mr. Leonard Darlot went to Western Australia from Victoria many years ago.

Mr. Everard Darlot was a member of the committee of the West Australian Turf Club, and was noted for his judgment of cattle and horses. Mr. Darlot, who was aged about 77 years, is survived by his wife and daughter (Mrs. Delmar Morgan), who resides in England, but who is at present in Australia. Lady Miller is his sister.

Dr. J. A. Voelcker

The death of Dr. John Augustus Voelcker, consulting chemist to the Royal Agricul-tural Society of England, is announced in a wireless message frdm London. He was aged 83 years. Dr. Voelcker married Miss Alice Westgarth, eldest daughter of the late Mr. William Westgarth, formerly of
