OURSELVES, AND THE "ARGYLE

LIBERAL." ---------------------

AN arrangement has been entered into between Mr. W. J. Morton, who

has acquired the "Argyle Liberal," for so long conducted by Mrs. M. A. Gilmartin, and ourselves, as propri-etors of the "Crookwell Gazette" and "Taralga Echo," to amalgamate in the working of the three newspapers.

Each newspaper will preserve its identity and entity, with the only al-teration that the "Argyle Liberal" will in future be published once weekly instead of twice.

The "Gazette" will be issued on Wednesdays ; the "Taralga Echo" on Fridays, and the "Argyle Liberal" on Saturdays.

The individual proprietors recog-

nise that in view of the high and in-creasing costs involved in production, they will, under the new arrangement,

be in a position to give the public greater service by being called upon to maintain one factory only, thus

eliminating almost half the cost in

publishing.

The aim of the proprietors will be to improve the three newspapers, viz., "Argyle Liberal," "Crookwell Gazette" and "Taralga Echo," and after mature and careful con-sideration they are agreed that by the amalgamation it can be achieved.

We take this opportunity of ex-pressing grateful appreciation for the loyal support accorded to us in the past and confidently trust for a con-

tinuance.
