Yarra ville scored another victory on Saturday by defeating Carlton.
Fletcher was the pick of the Yaraville IS; his ground play and kicking being a feature. He liked a good goal,
"DUB" Fraser played his usual solid game (fol-lowing and halfback), but he wondered from his place too much when placing half-back.
Sam Davidson (of Northcote made his first appearance with Yarraville, and played well. He also kicked three can IF, besides taking some beautiful high mark with the greasy hall.

I Gibbons showed again that he can play football, Land, was the star of the Carlton team. Buckley
and Bailey played splendidly, and their kicking was remarkable on a wet day. Landy did) excellent work on the half back line.
I ' O'connell again showed his last season's form
for Carlton by his dashes, high-marking;, and kickI ing. Watt kicked four goals. Tasman, as usual, I did his share of the hard work. Jeffries, Byrnes'. Cutting, struck, Schimke, AVilliatt, Neundor, und I Watson (a recruit from Tasmania did splendid
work.
Walker showed splendid form on the half-back line, and watched Davidson well, and deserves special mention. Hyland, a Carlton junior, is improving every match, and will be reckoned ' u tlrst'Class junior before the season is over.
The goal-kickers for Port Melbourne were Gilbert 2, Clan ford 1, Elliott ii, Way 1, Kelly 1,
and for Coburg J. Wilson 2.
Port Melbourne w ci e without the services of De Chene, Baker, and Pam, but Elliott played his first game with the tons, and is a power of strength on the forward line; and Kelly reappeared after a long spell.

Hastie, a college had, placed a fine game for Werribee. His high-marking with the wet ball was splendid. He also kicked a splendid goal, and was about the best man on the field.
Irving showed some fine dashing play, and saved his wife repeatedly. Vincent, took some fine high marks, and Nunn and Show were a fine pair for
