Another double

to Scobie

Breasley

GOODWOOD, Thursday (AAPReuter).-A brilliant double for Scobie Breasley at Goodwood yesterday marked further honours in the veteran Australian jockey's racing career.

He has now won every major race on the Goodwood racing calendar.

Until yesterday Breasley had won nine of the 10 big Goodwood raccs over the years. Today he captured the 1 Oth - the Sussex Stakes.

One of his mounts yesterday. the 11/8 on favourite Berber, was almost scratched after being stung and poisoned on his off

side.

But veterinary surgeons gave the "green light" and Breasley took the two-yearold first past the post in the

Richmond Stakes.

J Breasley's mount in the

Sussex Stakes, the evens favourite Reform, has been successful at Epsom and Royal Ascot.

Beaten only

once

As a two-year-old he was beaten in only one of his seven raccs, and this season has won three times from four starts.

In the stakes he took the lead in the last furlong and shot through to win by a length and a half, giving Breasley a double.

Australian George Moore managed only a second and a third at Goodwood yesterday.
