Rosewall's singles title

PARIS, Tuesday (AAPReuter). - Ken Rosewall avenged his recent Wembley Championship defeat by beating his fellow Australian Rod Laver in the men's singles final of the French Professional Tennis Championships.

Rosewall won 6-3, 6-2 14-12 in a great display by the two dominant figures of world professional tennis.

Andres Gimeno, of Spain, won third place in the championship, defeating Earl Bucholz, of the United Stales, 8-6, 8-6.

In the doubles final. Laver and Bucholz defeated Pierre Barthes, France, and Andres Gimeno, Spain, 6-3, 6-3, 6-4.
