" FUSION " CAMPAIGN,

JOINT COMMITTEE TO FIGHT THE

LiABOR PAETY.

In order that there may be complete coordination of .effort "between tie members of the Liberal Union and the "National" labor Party in the present Federal contest, a scheme has been evolved and will shortly be officially announced by Messrs. A. W. Piper, KXT (president) and Page (secretary) for the liberal Union, and the Hon. R. P. Blundell, M.P. (chairman) and A. £. Anstey. >LP. (secretary) for lie "National" Labor Party. Xo details for this scheme have yet been made public, but it is understood that a joint committee is to be appointed which will have complete control of the campaign plan, I and will see that the whole State is thoroughly canvassed in the effort to defeat

There will . be a meeting at Burra to-morrow night, when tEc Premier (Hon. Crawford Vaughas) and Senator Senior will deliver addresses on behalf of the "National" Labor Party and: the Federal Coalition Government. The mayor (Mr. E. W. Skewes) will preside. The Fusionists are endeavoring to bring pressure to bear upon Mr. E. S. Hughes to prevent him from standing as an "Independent" for Boothby.
