ROGERS—McCAW.—On the 31st January, John Warrington, eldest son of John Warrington Rogers, Esq., K.C., of London formerly of Mel-bourne to Catherine, eldest daughter of James McCaw, Esq., of Urandangie, Queensland.

WOOD—BELL.—On the 16th January, at The

Manse, Wagga Wagga, N.S.W, by Rev. Charles

Bell, assisted by Rev. Alex Yule, uncle of the bride, and Rev. Jas. Carson, of Junee, Alex-ander Grant, second son of Joseph H. Wood, of McLean Bros, and Rigg Ltd., Melbourne, to Mary Elizabeth, second daughter of Rev. Charles Bell, Wagga Wagga, N.S.W.

DEATHS.

BAVIN.—On the 6th February, Thomas Johnson,

beloved husband of Hannah M. Bavin, of "Cross-lea," Orchard-street, North Brighton, only son of Johnson Bavin, Wimblington, Cambridge-shire, England, aged 72 years.

ELDEN.—On the 5th February, at Seymour, Mary

Margaret (May), the beloved wife of C. E.

Elden, Upper Autumn street, Geelong, eldest daughter of E. W. Binder, Wynnstay-grove, Ar-madale, and late of the Education Department, aged 30 years. "Safe in the arms of Jesus."

FORD.—On the 6th January, at the residence of

his daughter, Pambula, N.S.W., William Ford, sen., master printer, Exeter, England, a colonist of 57 years, aged 82 years. Rest in the Lord.

HARRISON.—On the 6th February, at his resi-

dence, 100 Ballarat-road, Footscray, Edwin Walter, fellmonger, the beloved husband of Martha Harrison, aged 62 years. Deeply re-gretted by all who knew him.

KANE.—On New Year's Day, 1901, at Bayswater,

Charlotte Elizabeth, daughter of the late Benja-min Kane, Esq., of Portsmouth, aged 65. Aus-tralian papers please copy.

MACDONALD.—On the 6th February, at Mel-

bourne, Alexander, the fourth son of the late Simon Macdonald, Horse Shoe Bend, Terang, aged 29 years.

McARTHUR.—On the 6th February, 1901, at his

late residence, 113 Stokes-street, Port Melbourne, Archibald, the dearly beloved husband of Mary Ann McArthur, and loving father of a large and sorrowing family, in his 62nd year.

STRONG.—On the 6th February, at her residence,

32 Malakoff-street, St. Kilda, Ada Dewson Cleverdon, the beloved wife of William B. Strong, aged 28 years.

WATTERS.—On the 5th February, at "Gowrie-

cottage," Koornang-road, Rosstown, John Wat-ters, in his 81st year.

BRUCE.—In loving memory of Cecil Bruce,

dear husband, Studholme George Hodgson, who departed this life at "Gnarwin," Beaconsfield-parade, St. Kilda, February 7, 1893, brother-in-law of the baronet Sir Francis Wood, the brother of Sir Evelyn Wood. One of the best. Deeply loved and deeply mourned.
