PRINCE'S DEATH.

Francis of Teck.

LONDON, Oct. 22.

Prince Francis of Teck whose condition due to an attack of pleurisy, had been giv-ing grave anxietv for several days suc-cumbed to his illness this morning the an- nouncement of the death of His Serene Highness being offiicially made shortly before noon The latest bulletins issued yesterday stated that the Prince had had a more restful day, but the news this morn-ing that he was sinking did not long precede the intimation of his death

The immdiate cause of death was septicaemia following an operation for the removal of the pleuritic effusion Their Majesties the King and Queen were pre-tent at the death bed

Prince Francis Joseph Leopold Fredrick of Teck who was born at Kensington Palace on January 9 1870 was the second son of the late Duke of Teck and HRH the late Princess Mary Adelaide. He was therefore brother of Queen Mary.
