VICTORIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE.

The fortnightly meeting of the Victorian Foot- ball League was held last night, at the Port Philip Club Hotel, Mr. H. C. A. Harrison presiding. A letter was received from New Zealand telling of the formation of an Australian Football Association at Auckland, and reporting the formation of similar bodies at Christchurch, Southland, Dunedin, and Wellington. The thanks of the league were ac-corded to the New South Wales Football League for their attention to the Essendon and Melbourne foot-ball clubs during their recent visit to Sydney. The patronage of the league was granted to the Vic- torian Junior Association in their match at Ade-laide on June 25, and £3/3/ was voted towards their expenses. Arrangements were made for the match against Ballarat this day week and Messrs. Denham, Gleeson, Norcott, Loane, and Myers were appointed a reception committee.
