S OLD MAN'S DEATH. An' old man 'named Daniel O'Con nell, :well known throughout Koroit district, was found dead on Monday. Deceased is supposed to have arrived -in the district about 6o years ago, and occupied himself in shearing sheds, and as groom, etc. He occupied a hut near the racecourse, and subsisted on an old-age pension. Last Friday, a resident in-the dstrict where he livied reported having seen him in a- very feeble -state. - Miss Mullen, who lives near -the racecourse, and who was veriy kind to the old man, seeing that :le had food and helping him in other ways, finding she could not make him hear on Monday, reported the matter to the police. Constable Nelson visit Scd the hut, and found O'Connell lying dead. He is supposed to have been considerably over 80 years of age.
