ÏHE GREATEST GOOD TO THE GREATEST

is what all

PHILANTHROPISTS (

aim at, and as > FREE TRADE

has realised this idea in

THE MOTHER COUNTRY,

so it will for this our

ADOPTED LAND OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA.

J. T. FITCH,

LONDON VND MANCHESTER WAREHOUSEMAN,

The first in South Australia to carry into effect the

liberal principles of

FREE TRADE,

views with considerable satisfaction the abolition of

THE AD VALOREM DUTIES,

seeing in it, as he does, another opportunity of affording

to his Custom' rs advantages such as

NO OTHER HOUSE

can do.

J. T. FITCH deems it needless to appeal to his large conne tion, embracing all Classes, for a corroboration of the pact of his business being conducted on the

principle of

SMALL PROFITS AND QUICK RETURNS ;

ind he has again with satisfaction to thank the public for their appreciation of it, as exhibited in his daily increasing Returns, in spite of the depression complained of by so many. The period of his '

ANNUAL STOCK-TAKING

now drawing near, he has determined to CLEAR OUT,

at a

GREAT REDUCTION,

his

WINTER STOCK,

at

PRICES LOWER THAN EVER.

The object in commencing his Clearing Sale thus early, is to afford his Friends a chance of Purchasing

SEASONABLE GOODS AT JOB PRICES.

It is all a farce for people to profess to offer bargains to their Customers when the Season is over ; the propr

time is when the articles can go into immediate use, and

benefit the wearer.

J. T. F. would again impress on tho minds of his Friends the FACT, that he is fully determined that a

Very LARGE LOT of GOODS shall be SOLD

to make room for some of the Largest, most V aried and best Valued Purchases he over made of SPRI.NG GO 'D3, how nearly due. Therefore, all those who are desirous of saving something like

FIVE SHILLINGS IN THE POUND,

will do well te pay him an early visit. In order to save beth buyers' and sellers' time, it is desirable that all Purchasers should bring with them a List of the articles wanted, enumerated under their respective heads, as follows:-"Manchester," "Hosiery," "Haber- dashery," "Silks," "Gloves," "Ribbons," "Millinery," «Slop" Departments, &c, &c" &c, so that they can be shown at once the articles marked in Plain Figures.

Parties aboiit to Marhy will find this a splendid opportunity for Furnishing their Establishments at

little more than

HALF THE USUAL COST ;

in fact, the reduction will be such as to benefit all classes of purchasers, therefore all are invited.
