Biined to Death.

Three Lives Lost.

Meldovksx, December 11.

Three more persons have lost their lives by burning, two on Sunday morning and one yes, toidfty. Ann Matthews, aged 70 years, and her son Peter, aged 80, were burnt to death at their home at Bendigo. The house was seen to be on fire, and when the flames were subdued the charred remains of the two persons were found in their bedrooms. It was apparent that they had both been overcome by the smoke. Yester day afternoon the wife of Henry John Woods was literally roasted to death. She was busy in an outhouse, when her clothes caught flro, and were all burnt oil her body before the fire could be put out. Hhe walked with a sheet round her to her husband, who was working a quarter of a mile away, and he carried her back to the house, where she died in great agony.
