Be tween Dalhousie and Macumba sta tions a plain about 40 miles long and proportionately broad is under water, Mr. J. Harvey, who manages Mrs. Williams's station of Nydrie, had a very unpleasant experience. He was compelled" by the rushing floods to seek safety in a tree, where he re mained for two days and two nights before he was rescued.
