PATHE 'S PICTURES 'Pathe's did not show last night, as the Alfred Hall was occupied for a recruiting meeting, but tonight the excellent pro gramme screened on Monday will be screened again. The pictures are very fine. There are capital dramas and com- edies, and there is one illustrating French succeses in Champagne, which on Mon- day aroused the enthusiasm of the au- dience. For Thursday Mr Downer has secured one of J.C. Williamson's great productions, "Nurse Cavell," who is well named England's Joan of Arc, and whose bravery and loving :devotion will live in English history for all time. The picture features Margaret Linden and Arthur Styan, with a brilliant cast.
