OBITUARY. MRS GEORGE HARRIOT, SEN. Old residents of the district will learn with sorrow of the death of Mrs Selina Harriott, relict of the late George Harriott, of Wickliffe, one of the very early residents of that neigh- borhood. The deceased had reached the extreme age of 84 years. A pio- neer colonist, the deceased came to the Wickliffe district nearly sixty years ago, and has resided there continuosly, her kindly heart and gracious bearing winning the affection of all who knew her, whilst in all cases of affliction her tender sympathy and cheerful help made her a welcome friend in the hour of trouble. She was twice married, her first husband being the late Mr Hague, by whom she had a family of three daughters and one son - the late Mrs R. Ford, Mesdames James Ford and Tillier, and Mr John Hague. Her se- cond husband, the late George Harriott, died about 16 years ago, and she leaves a son, Mr George Harriott, Mrs George Hucking, ahd Mrs M'Innis, of Wick- liffe, to mourn the loss of a most ex- emplary parent. The remains of the deceased lady are to be interred in the Wickliffe Cemetery this afternoon. I Fifty different languages are spoken fr India,
