MR. HAMILTON LAMB, M.L.A., HITS OUT DUNSTAN-HOCKING CLASH EXPLAINED Mr. L. R. Rodda, M.L.C., Defends Government U.C.P. District Council Meeting at Dimboola The clash between the Premier, Mr. A. Dun- stan, and Mr. A. E. Hocking, which has threat- ened to split asunder the Victorian Couintry Party, received its first airing in the Wimmera on Wednesday when the Wimmera District Council of the party met at Dimboola. At the conclusion of the routine business, which was mainly drafting resolutions for sub- mission to the annual conference, Messrs. G. H. Lamb, M.L.A., L. R. Rodda, M.L.C., and W. J. Mibus, District Council member, were given the opportunity of explaining the merits and de- merits of the faction fight. The feature of the debate was the trenchant attack made on the Premier and certain mem- bers of his Ministry by Mr. Lamb, who, in deal- ing with the dismissal of Mr. Hocking from the Savings Bank, called it "a gross betrayal and political perfidy."
