Obituary. The death is reported of Mrs. Eliza beth Morley, one of the oldest inhabi- tants of Armphitheatre, aged 97 years. The death occurred at Hamilton of Mrs. Fanny Ann Winchcombe, who went there for a health holiday just on nine weeks ago. Illness, however, overtook her in serious form, and efforts to im- prove her condition were unavailing. At Warracknabeal on Wednesday night the death occurred of Mrs. Chris- tina Sinclair, of "Roslyn," Lubeck. De ceased, who was the mother of Mrs. Duncan and Mrs. Powell, well known and esteemed residents of the town, attained the great age of 89 years. Mrs. Sinclair was a very old colonist, having lived in Victoria for 74 years. Mrs. Effie McLeod has just died at Romsey, at the great age of 10o years. She was a native of the Isle of Skye, Scotland, and arrived in Australia 62 years ago. Her death removed one of the oldest colonists of Victoria. Five of her daughters and one son are at present living in the Commonwealth. Mr. J. F. Gordon, for many years the manager of the Glenroy Station (S.A.). up to the time of its subdivi- sion, has just died. He was 63 years of age. For many years he was a mem- ber of the Penola Council. Mrs. Francis, aged 52, wife of Mr. Thos. E. Francis, died at Mount Gam- bier last week : also Mr. William Jack Smith,. of Phillipstoun.
