Obituary. Mr E. Pettingill, manager of Warrack nabeal Butter Factory, died last Wednesday, at the early age of 29, due to consumption of the throat. Mrs Pettingill ill is left with two young ohildren. The. Western District has lost another pioneer "Mother in Israel "in Mrs James Davidson, of " Woodend," Warrnambool, who passed away last week after a useful life extending over 91 years. Her husband and she, with three young chil dren, arrived in Australia 60 years ago, settling down at Warrnambool, a few years afrterwarda. Her husband died 46 years ago, hut she trained up five sons and four daughters to man and woman hood. Mr John Davidson, of Sheep Hills, is one of the sons, and Miss Davidson, of McLachlan-street, Horsham, a grand daughter.
