Obituary o A sad and unexpected death took place sol at the 5Horsham Hospital yesterday St morning, when Mrs. Amelia Fisciher. aged 40 yars, wife of Mr. Fred Fischer, of Vectis South, passed away. Nbthing serious was ri anticipated until the end of the week, Tm when, feeling Worse, she was brought to pt the hospital, and admitted on Sunday. Gu She took suddenly worse on Sunday night, and passed away early on Mon- op day morning. She was suffering from t. Iright's Disease, and death was due to heart failure. Sht loaves a family of 8 ahildren, the eldest being 19 years and H1 the youngest 8 years. The funeral will take placo to-morrow (Wednesday), to thv Vectis East .CCemetery. an On' Saturday, at mid-day, there died Il at the-Hospitl, Katherine McCrae, aged HI 18 years, of McKenzie Creek. She had' Cc been suffering from pulmonary tuberculo- go 'ls, and had been a patient of the hos- sh pital for three mdnlth. The deceased was do buried in the Horsham Cemetery on Mon day, the pall-bearers being Messrs J. Hynes, G. Anderson, Cain and Parfitt. The burial servicq was read by Mr. Coon, Presbyterian missionary, and Mr. W. F. Allan carried out the funeral ar rangements. Mr. W. J. Ryan, of Swanwater, died on Tuesday, aged 80 years. He was in Ballarat at the time of the Eureka Stockade. I Mr. William Wallkr, one of the oldest members of the Legislativo Council of New South Wales, died on Friday morn ing at the ago of 87 years. Deceased was asollcitor, and had resided at Wird sor, where he died, for 71 years. The death is reported of Mr. Robert label, a very old and esteemed resident of Ararat. For about 'two years past the deceased had been in failing health, suffering from a form of general atro-   phy, consequent on disease of the spine,   and of late he was quite unable to get about. The deceased was a native of Adelaide, and came over to Victoria in 1862 with his mother, to join his father, who had settled at Great Western -when tho Wild Cat rush broke out. Mr. Isbel went out to the Mount William rush,   add subsequently purchasing Mr. W. H. Grano's' farm at Concongella, settled there. The deceased was 59 years of age and brother of Mr. Fred. Isbel, of Hor- sham.     Mr. Franklin Jackson, who lost his a life in the Tasmanian bush under dis tressing circumstandes, was an old Vie torian colonist, having arrivad hero in the phip Salem in '1854.
