Death from Drowning -----:o:--- FATE OF AIR. FRANK hHERIDAN. The deepest sympathy was expressed on all hands when it was learned that MAr. Frank Sheridan. for many years a resident of Horsham. had lost his life by drowning at Gymbowen. De scribing the happening, our Gymbowen correspondent says:-"A painful sen sation was caused when it became known that M3r. Frank Sheridan had been found drowned in a dam at Gym bowen. Tt appears that the deceased left Gymbowen on horseback on Wed nesday afternoon, and next morning a man employed by Mr. Win. MI'Cann found him floating in a dam about a quarter of a mile from Mr. M' Cann's house. His horse was grazing nearby. with the saddle altd bridle on. It is thought that Mr. Sheridan. whose health was not good. may have had a seizure while giving his horse a drink. His remains wer.' interred in the Goroke cemetery on ,a turday. The deceased leaves a widow and two sons and daughters to mourn their loss." The late Mr. Sheridan was widely known and popular throughout the Wimmera and the Western districts. For a number of years he was employ ed as stock-salesman by Messrs T. H. Laidlaw & Co. He identified himself with many local and district move ments. and was one of the most en thusiastic supporters of the Horsham Caledonian society. At an inquest held at Gymbowen r. verdict of eecidental death was record ed.
