The horse that
wouldn't go home
l-TOW do you set a horse
out of a radio studio and down a flieht of stairs?
That was the problem that worried two policemen, Smoky Dawson (the singing cowboy), a secretary, and half-a-dozen 3AW employees for two hours last night.
Plash, Smoky's four-year old horse, walked happily UP the stairs to-the studio, to entertain during the chil- dren's session at 5 p.m. ,
But he wouldn't go DOWN the stairs when it was all
over.
In fact, he wouldn't leave the studio!
Two policemen arrived; tel p"1 hone calls were made to trainers and friends for ad- vice-but nothing would shift
Flash. .
Finally, Smoky told an- nouncer Denis Gibbons to smack Flash softly with the whin as he tried >to lead hin\
to the door. .
After 20 minutes of this. Flash moved to the top.of
the stairs.
Five minutes later he was half-wav down, and in an- other few minutes was on the street.
