of a bull-terrier bitch. Ur. Adam Potts, father of the previous witness, stated that he only lent the ft"*»"«»! to Mr. Catling. For the defence,

Warner stated that Mr. Catling had given him the dog iwo years ago, that he had paid the licence fees for two years and had cared for and fed the animal during that time, and despite the fact that plaintiff knew he had -ôie dog no application had been made for it. Mr. Catling depo sed that Potts, sen.. gave hun the

?dog because she was a nuisance about the bouse where there were children, and witness gave the dog to Warner. The fi.^K., in giving judgment, said that defendant had his sympathy as he did not think it proper that any person should leave a dog in a,, town to be cared for by anyone or nobody, and then " claim it after two years but the law left bim no other course than to make an order for tile return of the dog to Potts, the defendant to pay i he ~cbeta ot the action.
