SHEARING AT AUSTIN DOWNS.
The cut out at Austin Downs Station took place on August 2nd. During the run, which occupied three weeks, 16,081 sheep were clipped for 377 bales of wooL The team, one of Gosdens and HcGin nity's, comprising eight shearers, main tained an average of 8O per man thro ugh the run. A second clip will take place later, when all stragglers and lambs will be put over the board.
