Western Australia DEATH OF MR. D. MULCAHY. OWNER OF MILLY MILLY STATION. Cue. June 25.
Mr. Daniel Mulcahy, owner of Milly Maily station, died at his home at East Fremantle on Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Mulcahy, who was at Milly Milly, re ceived the sad news via Byro Station,
which is furnished with telephonic com munication, Mr. Darcy conveying the message by motor to Milly Milly. Mrs. Mulcahy and Messrs. Dan, Michael and Hugh Mulcahy left Cue on Thursday morning's train for Perth. The late Mr. Mulcahy, who was 58 years of age, was born at Kingstown, Tipperary, Ireland, and came to Aust
ralia when quite a young man. Short- ly after the gold ruhi set in he arrived in W.A. from Queensland and was at the Nannine rush, having travelled to that place via where Milly Milly sta tion now stands. Not being successful in finding gold he took up hotel keeping and did well, first at Fremantle, and later at the Hotel Central in Welling ton St. Some years ago he acquired Milly Milly station on the Murchison river and became a pastoralist as well
as a hotelkeepur. An upright man and a gentleman, possessing a big, kind heart, Mr. Dan Mulcahy will be a man who will be missed. He leaves a widow and ten children, 5 sons and 5 daught ers, the oldest being Mr. Dan Mulcahy, who has been residing at Milly Milly for some time past. A brother of the deceased, Mr. Mich- ael Mulcahy, who died at Fremantle eight years ago, was associated with him in his hotel business and other projects.
