AMBASSADORS REACHED DECISION. September 27 Fixed.
The Ambassadors' Conference has decided that Italy shall leave Corfu on September 27, and that she shall receive the indemnity provided by Greece if the latter country has not done her utmost to punish the Janina murderers.
PARIS, September 13. It has been learned from well-informed quarters that a solution has been reached by the Ambassadors' Conference provid- ing for the Italian evacuation of Corfu by Thursday, September 27. If by that date reports received by the Inter-Allied Commission of Enquiry show that Greece has not done her utmost for the detection and punishment of the Janina murderers, the Greek deposit of fifty million lire will be handed over to Italy as reparations. The Paris correspondent, of The Daily Telegraph states that the Ambassadors' Agreement provides that the Greek £500,000 will be forfeited to Italy on Sep- tember 27 if Greece fails in the mean while to arrest the murderers. As a counterpart Italy will evacuate Corfu on the date named, at the latest.
