DEATH OR -HEYWOOD : OCTOGENARIAN. The death. of Mrs. Giholine at the age of 80 years marks the passing of yet another whose family belonged to the pioneers of. Heywood district: The daughter of the late Mr. Wil liam Reid, of Athol Hill, Mrs. Gilholme. was for many years one of the besat known figures in the community. Her position as proprietor and man ager of the local guest house made her acquainted with a large circle of friends. -After the death of her husband, Mrs. Gilholme took part in many' : business transactions, becom ing well known as a keen business woman 'through the purchase and sale of houses and shops.- She was one of the..first to recognise the growing land values in a period of rapid development. -i- Mrs. Gilholme took an active part in the work of the, Presbyterian Church, being a member for many years. She also took a keen interest in political and municipal affairs. The funeral ser vices at the 'church and graveside were -conducted by Rev. S. Halford.
