RECORD HORSE SALE AT HAMILTON YARDS. At a special horse sale at the Hamilton sale yards, held -on Thurs day last, there was a record attend ance, buyers being present from all parts of the State. The market for. ponies was the best that has been seen in' recent years in this district. The feature of the sale was the splendid -draft of ponies froii Moyne Falls Estate. These. ponies,.. which are of Timor cross, were the annual.-draft from Mr. J. W. Robertson's property, and sold to the high figure of £50 for a beautiful blue-grey 'flly ; others making to £38,' and a number at £37 a head ; the wholo draft of 30 making the splendid. average of £27 per head. The selling tagents, Campbell and Sons, -Melbourne, and Messrs. J. R. Moodie and Co., state that an all round improvement in all types of horses was noted ; hacks selling at £28/10, brood mares and draughts up.to £22. . Of the whole yarding only 10 horses were unsold, the balance averaging just on £12 per head.-"Spectator."
