OUR LETTER BOX ONION SEED. To the Editor, Portland "Guardian." Sir,-I am pleased to say that Mrs. Crennan has agreed to permit the use of her building adjoining the onion seed plot for-the storage, etc., of onion seed pending its despatch to Melbourne. Some of the volun tecrr who took charge of the plots have not yet commenced to harvest the crop, and there is danger that there may be losses of the seed un ler. they can act at once, as some of the seed is more than ready for har vesting. The key of Mrs. Cren nan's building may be obtained from Mr. Wheeler, at MacPherson's Transport Depot, and all instructions regarding harvesting are posted in the window of these premises. Will all 'who have undertaken the cultiva. tion of plots regard this as a most urgent appeal to them to commence hiarvesting at once.-Yours, etc., H. R. HEDDITCH, Mayor.
