CHRISTMAS MAILS FOR UNITED KINGDOM AND EUROPE. x The Deputy Director, Posts and T'elegraphs (Mr. R. Lawson) desires to remind readers that the time has now arrived to prepare Christmas gifts and greetings for despatch overseas to relatives and friends in the United Kingdom and Europe. Latest Date for Posting Parcels. To ensure delivery overseas be. fore Christmas, parcels 'should be posted in ample time to reach the General Post Office, Melbourne, be fore noon on the 11th November, 1935, when the mail closes for des patch per the R.M.S. Orsova. Posting of Other Articles. The last mail for letters and pac kets to be delivered in the United Kiingdom and Europe before Christ nets will be despatched per the R.M.S. Mooltan. Packet mails will close at Melbourne at 2 p.m. on the 21st November, 1935, and letter mails at 3 p.m. on that date. Letters and packets despatched by the lBTooltan will not reach London until the 21st December, 1935, so the pIublic is exhorted to post all Christ lins mail for the United Kingdom and Europe in time for despatch per the II.M.S. Orsova, and thus avoid any danger of disappointment through non-delivery before Christ tious. Small packets for despatch by the Orsnva close at the G.P.O. at 2 p.m, on that date. A?nr.
