Mr. Michael Minogue. The passing away .of Mr. Michael J. Minogue, the youngest son of:Mr. and Mrs. Simon Minogue, of West Portland, marked the last of a large family of four sons and five daugh ters, who formed a band of early pioneers who will never be forgot ten for their knowledge of bush lore, particularly horses, of which the late Mr. Minogue was very fond. He spent much of his younger days in breaking in young animals, and by his patience and kindness, soon won their affection and the admiration of his comrades. He was keenly inter ested in horse racing, and as a trainer always had his stable fit and well. He married Miss Annie Kenny, of Bridgewater, and leaves three children-Lindsay, who is well and favorably known to Portlanders ; and two daughters, Mrs. Gilmour and Mrs. T. J. -McCarthy, to whom all Portland extends their sincere sym pathy.
