Obituary. MRS. W. JACKMAN. A very old identity in the person of Mirs. Harriet Jackman passed away at her home, Gawler street, on Saturday evening. She was born in Ireland in the year 1850, and came to Australia with' her family seven years later. At an early age' she maried '- Mr William' : Jickmhn; a nonagenarian, and with hin was one' of, the: erliest settlers in the Wim mera. They removed to Portland about twenty-five years 'ago and have resided in Gawler street ever ,since. The late lady, who was early employed as nurse-maid to the iHenty fanily' at iMuntham Station, was df a wonderfully charitable dispositionr, which earned for her a host of friends, who mourn with the b`redv'd family in their. trouble. ;Thd.members of the latter are Katie (Mrs. McRae), Susan (Mrs. Olle), Ellen (Mrs. Johns), Minnie (Mrs. W. Truran (deceased), Ruby. (Alrs. S. LO Patterson), James, Henry, Albert :William (deceased), and IIerbert The funeral took place this morning, and was largely attended. The ser vice at the graveside was conducted by the' Rev. Father 'Cain, while the mortuary. arrangements were car ried'out by Mr. T. C. Jarrett.
