Important Sale of Properties, Yesterday, at the Royal Hotel, Mr J. R. Woods offered tor sale, under instruc tions from the Union Trustees Co, of Australia, as administrators in the estate of the late Mr Joseph Haggestton, a large number of town and suburban properties. There was a large attendance Including a number of visitors from the Wimmera who appeared anxious to note the price at which Portland properties were valued. The bidding was not too spirited as a wbho!e, but for some of the lots it wasl ood The Royal Hotel was passed in at £750. One block of land in the north-west suburb, containing one acre was bought by Mr W,Sbarpe at £?5t. A block of something over seven acres, near the Hurd Street Reserve was knocked down to Mr. W, Hanlon at 200oo, and Mr J. Hannon gave (too for an eleven acre paddock on the edge of the forest atlNorth Portland. Of the lots passed in, sales at advanced prices are confidently expected.
