The half-yearly meeting ot the Southern Grou Feature Film Company, Limited, was held at the offices of Messrs. Evans & Gordon, Brooknua Buildings, on Wednesday* There was a large attendance of shareholders. England, where the private screenings bad net ?with nothing but praise from the press and ex pert. 'The Sentimental BloHe' is to be re leased in England in March next, and 'Ginger Mick' in September. 'The Sentimental Bloke' , has also been splendidly received at private screenings in the United States, where it will be released on January 9 next 'Ginger Miok' has not .vet been seen in America. Latest ad vices from both countries indicated that these ?Australian productions were likely to meet with exceptional success. In both England and America surprise had been expressed at the wonderfully successful production of both these pictures from en artistic and photographic point ot view.' The pictures produced by the Southern Cross Picture Productions, Limited, in which company the Southern Cross Feature Film Company holds a five-twelfth interest include 'The Jackeroo of Cpolabong,' 'Rudd's New Selection,' and 'The B/ue 'Mountains Mystery.' These three films had been successfully released in Australia, and the former was now being shown in the United States. The prospects for the successful showing of all the productions named were excellent The motion for the adoption of the report was carried unanimously and the directors were con gratulated on the' favourable nature of the state ment presented.
