Girls Had Preference For Negro Soldiers
London, Sat: Most British village girls who once became friendly with colored American sol- diers, preferred negro to white Americans, accord- ing to British welfare workers who are handling the problem of 1000 half-caste babies.

Women welfare workers found that village girls con- sidered negroes more court- eous, considerate and sincere than white Americans. Lat- ter's attitude was frequently condescending and insincere.
British county councils are unanimous that the great problem of half-caste babies must be settled immediately.
