Drought Brings Cattle Losses
Kalgoorlie, Sat: Due to several years' drought at Ma- dura Station, on Great Aus- tralian Bight, owned by former Kalgoorlie motor busi- ness man Mr. Bob Mackie, 400 head of cattle have died.
Remaining cattle, estimated about 500, spread over 574,000 aores, are to be mustered and driven to Loongana, 68 miles away on.the trans line, to be railed to Coonana, where feed and water are plentiful.
