THE LATE MR. FINLAYSON.
Mr. Ebenezer Finlayson, aged 64 years,
youngest son of the late Pastor William Finlayson, one of the pioneer missionaries in South Australia, died on Thursday evening, after a brief illness. He was edu- cated at the late Mr. J. L. Young's school, and spent some time as a navigator of the River Murray with the late Captain Ran- dall. Later on he entered into commercial pursuits, and became a member of the Stock Exchange. In recent years he car- ried on business as a broker, and for- merly was a member of the firm of Finlay- son & Parsons, commercial agents, and of Finlayson & Gollin. He was deeply inte- rested in literary matters, and for many years was a member of the Mitcham Insti-
