ELLIOTT'S CHAMPAGNE QUININE

WINE.   Highly recommended by the Faculty, and   acknowledged to be the purest and cheapest tonic yet introduced ; it is the best restorative for the young, weak, and aged ; it strengthens the whole system, and stimulates the appetite, and is invaluable for Indigestion, Nervousness, Gout, Rheumatism, Fever and Ague. It has also proved a most invaluable and agreeable stomachic to all suffering from general debility and loss of appetite. A wineglassful twice a   day will be found particularly grateful and

efficacious in all cases where a cordial tonic is

required. Is far superior to sherry and

bitters.

Brisbane, January 3, 1876.

GENTLEMEN,—I beg to inform you that I have examined your Quinine Wine, and can- not find anything deleterious in its composi-

tion.

It contains at least half a grain of dry pure Sulphate of Quinine in each ounce ; and from the quantity of extracts of well-known bitter

tonics in its composition, and especially that of sulphate of quinine, in the well-adjusted proportion of half a grain to the fluid ounce, or two tablespoonsfuls, will recommend it in my eyes and those of the medical profession as being one of the best tonics ever introduced to the public.—I have the honour to be, your obedient servant,

KARL THEODOR STAIGER,

Government Analytical Chemist,       Messrs, ELLIOTT BROS. & Co., Brisbane.

BLOOD PURIFIER.

SARSAPARILLA has, from time imme- morial, been considered the best agent for this purpose.

DR. BAYLEY'S COMPOUND EXTRACT of SARSAPARILLA contains all the valu-

able properties of this plant, together with the advantage of being a pleasant and palat- able beverage. For those who abstain from alcoholic drinks this will act as a gentle stimulant, which renders it peculiarly adapted to a hot climate.

yield promptly to the healing and cura-   tive properties of DR. JAYNE'S EXPEC- TORANT. It loosens and promotes the expectoration of irritating matter,—mitigates much pain and distress, and checks inflamma-

tion.

Asthma, Bronchitis, and Throat Troubles are at once relieved by DR. JAYNE'S EXPEC- TORANT. It removes constriction of the Bronchial tubes, loosens phlegm, soothes and heals the mucous membrane, arrests any feverish tendency, and helps to forward a gradual cure.

Consumption, Pleurisy, and Lung Affections are generally controlled and ameliorated by DR.

JAYNE'S EXPECTORANT. It saves the

lungs from much irritation and distress, by relieving them of the irritating matters by

which they are clogged ; it also suppresses

inflammation and give the affected parts a chance to heal.

CURE OF SCROFULOUS SORES.

"Trinity-street, Somethwick, near Birming-

ham.

" Mr. CLARKE, SIR,—My husband, I am glad to say, is quite cured, and is now able to attend

to his business. His complaint was scrofulous

sores; and he had been bad about eight   years. He went, to several doctors, and spent many pounds in trying different remedies, but still grew worse, and had kept his bed for the   last two years, except a few hours at intervals. The discharge from the sores made him so weak, every one thought him in consumption. We tried to get him in several institutions, but they would not admit him, as I believe they thought him past cure, the sores extended nearly all

over his back and chest. It took one hour each

day to dress the wounds, and the pain almost took his reason away. Nothing did him any good until we heard of your Blood Mixture.

My husband is well known here ; he is a house

agent and collector. The people are quite   astonished, and it has induced many to try the Mixture. You are at liberty to make any use of this you please. Accept our grateful thanks.

I am, very respectfully,

"JANE MOWLAM."

It is by the judicious use
