CAMPBELL TOWN PERSONAL Mr. Hugh Russel Gibson, a promi. nent and successful Merino sheep breeder, died at Orange, New South Wales, on Thursday last. The deceased was the fourth eldest son of the late William Henry and Hannah Gibson, of "Fairfield." Epping. Tasmania. He was educated at the Launceston Church Grammar School, and subsequently married a -daughter of the late Hon James Gibson, of Bellevue, Epping. The widow and one son and two daughters survive him." The deceased took a very keen interest in pastoral pursuits, and was a prominent and successful breeder of Merino sheep. For many years he resided at Bicton, and after wards at Barton, on the Isis River, in the Midlands. He left Tasmania in 131t for Melong, New South Wales and he resided there until the time of his demise. For several years he eff flciently carried out the duties of sec. retary to the Midland Agricultural So. ciety, and in 1918 and 1924 he was appointed judge for the Merino sec tions at. the M.A.S. shows. He, was also a member of the Campbell Tows0 Road Trust, and treasurer of the Pres., byterian Kirklands Church.
