read. . Mr. A. B. Murray appointed Chairman. The Chairman was requested to apply to the Chief Secretary for the usual grant in aid of preliminary ex penses; also for grant of Section No. 205 for district purposes : also for copies of the requisite Acts of Council for use of the District Council. Resolved, that a meeting of rateable inhabitants ba held for the purpose of electing two Councillors.
