STRATHALBYN.

June 9. - After a long illness Mrs. Jane Hooper died on Sunday morning, at the age of 69. She was the third daughter of the late Mr. James Dawson, and came to South Australia with her parents in 1839. She married Mr. Richard Hooper in 1853 at Strathalbyn, where until the time of her death she had been a continuous resident, and there were eleven children, of whom six sons (Messrs. A. J., F. J., Alfred, R., S. H., and W. Hooper, and three daughters (Mrs. J. D. Stuart, Mrs. W. T. Cowan, and Miss Ethel Hooper) are now living.
