MACARTHUR CENTENARY
CANBERRA, Tuesday.
To mark tho centenary of John Macarthur, founder of Australia's wool industry, the council of the Royal Society of Australia will hold a symposium at the Institute of Ana- tomy, Canberra, on April 18.',
Commemorative addresses will be ! given' by the president of tho New
South Wales Graziers' Association (Mr. James Walker), who will deal with the history of the wool industry in Australia, and by Dr. Roland Wil- son, tho-economist attached to thc Statistician's office, on thc importance of tho wool industry to Australia.
. John Macarthur died at' Camden, New South Wales, on April 10, 18P.Í. So far as is known, thc occasion will bo ' commemorated in no other city
in Australia.
