PROPOSED YANCHEP HIGHWAY. Some time ago the progress societies in Osborne Park suggested that the name of Wanneroo-road should be changed to Yanchep-highway. The suggestion re ceived the support of the chairman of the State Gardens Board (Mr. Shapcott) and the Perth Road Board, but Wanneroo op posed the alteration. At the monthly meeting of the Central Osborne Park Progress Society the ques tion was again discussed and it was mentioned that the Wanneroo Road Board would support the proposal if the alteration started from Railway parade, to include Charles-street, which reached the Osborne Park boundary. As Charles-street was in the Perth City Council area it was decided to ask the council to support the proposed alteration in their area, as from Railway-parade, through Charles-street, was a direct road to Yanchep.
