R.S.L. CONGRESS Four Nominations For State President Chief interest in the annual elec tion of office-bearers at the State Congress of the Returned Service men's League, which will open at Anzac House on September 30, will be centred in the selection of a new State president. The present holder of the office, Mr. J. M. W. Ander son, is due to retire by effluxion of time and may not renominate this year. There are four nominees. They are Messrs E. O. Davies, W. I. Hunt, W. Reece and T. Sten. Messrs. Sten and Davies are senior and junior vice-presidents, respect ively and Mr. Hunt is an executive committeeman. There are 11 nominations for two vice-presidents, nine of them of sitting members of the executive. They are Messrs. J. F. Craig, E. O. Davies, T. S. Edmondson, J. B. Fitzhardinge. W. J. Hunt, H. A. Leslie, M.L.A.. A. C. N. Olden, T. Sten, E. S. Watt, E. Williams and M. E. Zeffert. Three trustees will be elected from the following nominees: Messrs. J. F. Craig, J. Ferguson-Stewart, H. A. Leslie, M.L.A., W. O. Mansbridge. F. Matthews. H. E. Smith. F. Stahl and M. E. Zeffert. Owing to suggestions that will be put forward for increasing the numerical strength of the executive and for improving the efficiency of the central administration of the league, unusual interest is being shown this year in the likely mem bers of the new body to be elected. The names of young men of World War II are numerous. There are 63 nominations, including that of the retiring State secretary (Mr. D. M. Benson).
