HEIRISSON ISLAND TAKES SHAPE.
Removal of low-lying mudbanks in the Swan River near the Perth Causeway and the reclamation of Heirisson Island is proceeding steadily. The formo al shape of the eastern half of Heirisson Island can be seen clearly in this aerial view in which the suction dredge, Governor Stirling, is shown working off the line of mudbanks.
