ra Northam, April 17.
Carey, the young man who was stabbed by a Chinaman in Northam, died from his wounda this morning. The Chinaman has been arrested.
The weather is still very dry and rain is badly wanted.
The Rev. G. E. Rowe, Chairman of the Weeleyan District, i'b here on a pastoral visit. He preaohed here laBt nicht to a large con- gregation, and leave* on Friday for Southern Cross to make arrangements to supply *e late Rev. O. Stephenson'« appointment. The Rev. S. Finob, a popular Adelaide preacher, takes charge of the Northam Weal ey an circuit. He will arrive here ou Saturday.
