Gooden, of a son. HURLEY.-On the 1st May, at Mannum, the wife of M. Hurley, of a son. COWAN.— On the 3rd May, at Angaston, the wife of Robert Cowan, of a son. PAQUALIN.— On the 3rd May, at Queenstown, the wife of G. H. Paqualin, of a daughter. SPEERS.-On the 27th April, near Laura, Mrs. James Speers, of a daughter. S, Green, Walter Edward, third son of Benjamin Slade, Esq., Berkshire, England, to Mary Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Captain T. Grierson, of Woodville. DEATHS. BACON.— On the 9th March, at her residence. Stanhope-place, Hyde Park, London, in the 80th year of her age, Lady Charlotte Mary Bacon, third daughter of the fifth Earl of Oxford and Mortimer, and wife of the late General Bacon, Commander of the English Army in the Portuguese War. CRETTENDEN.— On the 26th April, at Carey's Gully, Sarah, widow of the late John Crettenden, aged 77 years. A colonist of 41 years. JACKSON.— On the 26th April, at near Dutton, of broncitis and hooping-cough. Charlotte, the infant daughter of William and Matilda Jackson, aged three weeks. HARTFIELD.— On the 2nd May, at the Adelaide Hospital, Thomas Hartfield, late of Mount Barker Springs, aged 35 years.
