BIRTHS. CHASE. —On the 19th June, at her residence, near Baker's Gully, District of Clarendon, the wife of George Chase, of a son. Both doing well. BRIGHT. —On the 1st July, at Gawler, the wife of H. E. Bright, jun., of a son. DEATHS. ROUNSEVELL. —On July 2nd, at Hutt-street, very suddenly, Emma, the loving and beloved wife of John Rounsevell, aged 35 years, leaving a family to mourn their loss. JACKSON. —On the 28th June, at Hawker's Hill, near Truro, of diphtheria, Mary, daughter of Sam. Jackson, at the age of four years and seven months. Deeply regretted by the bereaved parents. SEWELL. —On the 3rd July, at South-terrace, of disease of the heart and consumption, Alice Eliza, the dearly-beloved daughter of John and Susan Sewell, aged 14 years. BAKER. —On the 3rd July, at his residence, Pirie-street, after a long and painful illness, borne with Christian fortitude, Mr. Thomas Baker, builder, in his 54th year; a colonist of 30 years. PETTIT. —On the 3rd July, Hannah, eldest daughter of James and Elizabeth Pettit, Angas- street, in the 21st year of her age.
