RIVERSIDE DRIVE FROM PERTH TO PEPPERMINT GROVE.
The Swan River frontage from Crawley Baths, Perth, to Keane's Point, Peppermint Grove, showing the possibility of a river drive along almost the whole of that section of the foreshore. At present there is a river drive south-westwards from the city along Mount's Bay-road to a point about a quarter of a mile beyond Crawley Baths. There the road, continuing as Stirling-highway, leaves the river, but a private road. ever State Gardens Board land, follows the river down to Crawley Beach and the rear of the University. The train line, following the same route, continues to Nod lands. From the end of the private road to the Esplanade, Nedlands, through State Gardens Board land, is about half a. mile, but that secticn `s without a road. The construction of one would enable the riverside drive to be continued as far as Queenslea-drive, Claremont, and, with a breat there, to beyond Keane's Point.
