Big Crowd At Sydney Society Wedding

HONEYMOON AT SOUTHPORT Fairfax— Stogdale SYDNEY. 'Wednesday.

A large gathering from the gateway to the   entrance to St. Mark's Church, Darling Point,   to-day, witnessed the arrival of the bride at the wedding of Miss Suzanne Stogdale, of Double Bay,

and Mr. H. D. Fairfax, of Tarnuk (Merriwa). The bride is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Stanley Stogdale, of Buckhurst, Double Bay, and the bride groom is the younger son of Dr. and Mrs. E. W. Fairfax, of Woniora, Point Piper. .

^ Jean Patou model of satin flulde was worn by the bride. The gown waa designed on classical lines with a, semi-court train, and embroidered In pearla with birds in flight. Pearls also edged the train to ? match the rolled band holding her out tulle veil, lent by Mrs. W. Macpherson (Double Bay) . She wore a pearl and diamond pendant, the gift of her grandmother, Mrs. A. T. Cudmore (Adelaide), and pearl and diamond earrlnga, the gift of the bridegroom. . Mr. Vincent Fairfax waa best man, and Messrs. John McDonald, Brlndley Bettlngton, Stuart Woodside, Alec Binnle, and George Stogdale were groomsmen. The ushers were Messrs. John Fairfax and Peter Moore. Canon Howard Lea officiated. Elizabeth Bay House was chosen for the reception, and the guests were re ceived by Mrs. Stogdale, who wore a gown of mousseline in pervenche green tonings and a hat of nigger brown straw turned sharply off the face. She was assisted by Mrs. Fair fax, whose gown of dove grey chiffon was worn witli a wide brimmed hat of grey straw. ?

For their honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Fairfax will sail by the Kanimbla to- morrow for Southport (Queensland) , and later motor to Tarnuk (Merriwa), where they will make their future home. Inter-State guests were Mrs. V. W. Porter and Mr. R. Porter, and Mr. and Mrs. R. Bickford (all from Adelaide). Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Stogdale and Mr. Derick Stogdale, Mrs. Arthur Lelgh ton, Mrs. R. F. Roberts, Mr. Ian Roberts, and Sir Lennon Raws, - who came from Melbourne.
